U.S Army Shirt from Old Midwest American Vintage, Mickey Mouse Baseball Tee, Levis jeans, Converse Sneakers, Zara tote bag, Ray Bans.

Anyone can wear jeans, so I don't often post up casual looks- but this is a pretty typical look for me. I like military touches, and the sportiness of this Mickey tee. As a layer item, or jacket, this vintage Army shirt was just the item I had been trying to track down. Old Midwest American Vintage is one of my favourite vintage stores, and it is right in the heart of Adelaide. With amazing quality inexpensive cleverly curated pieces for men and women, the store is the coolest spot. I fall in love with a new pair of cowboy boots each time I go in, but I don't wear mine enough to justify more. Of the stores in Adelaide, this is one to recommend- if you are looking for something a little unique or quirky, check it out. Hidden behind Rundle Street, on Ebenezer Place, look for the taxidermy brown bear.

On a run around day sourcing for The Adelaide Cabaret Festival, this easy look took me from Bunnings, carrying plants to lifting furniture, painting and a quick lunch. A big thanks to my Mum for being my assistant on this day- driving around with me sourcing, taking these photos, even going into an Adult store with me to buy handcuffs for Tommy Bradson's show. She may not have known where to look ("Down" Tommy later told her when she relaid the story!), but the gag in the show was hilarious, and paid off.

Sunday Morning in Perth

Some Fashion-y pics taken in Perth last weekend. I love Perth transport, it feels like taking a bus over in Europe. Ha ha, here I could have walked to breakfast, but instead took the bus, just for fun. The streets are deserted as it was a Sunday morning, and CLEAN (this is another Perth thing- they clean the streets each night). You are going to see this jacket a lot, 'cause I am IN LOVE with it! Way to go Ksubi, this leopard WAR collection is bang on, and a lot of it is hitting sale time, so check out their site. They ship super fast too. Also Ausmode.com stock some of their stuff as well as everything else on my wish list... take a look!

Pictured wearing Ksubi Panelled Zip Jacket, Zara leather tote bag (that thing is so handy- particularly if you visit book shops as much as I do! It just fits so much in!), Jefferey Campbell boots, Levi's jeans, Ray Bans, Witchery T-shirt and Scarf.

As Mad March comes to its close, I thought I would share some of my favorite moments from the craziness that was our full on festival season.

I was very happy to spend the final night at Barrio and see the divine and lovely Jane Birkin singing the songs of Serge Gainsbourg. She was so gorgeous, so graceful and happy to be in Adelaide for the Festival's Dreamers Program. Full of energy, Jane came out running through the crowd, singing as she went. Her stories about Serge were both touching and funny, she really channeled his energy and love. Her band, made up of incredible musicians plucked from Japan have gone on a whirlwind tour with her leaving their own careers behind, all the while raising funds and awareness after the devastating nuclear disaster in Japan. Jane is known of course as being one of the most stylish women in the world. I remember seeing pictures of her in my Mum's fashion magazine collection from the 70s, and loving her style. Mostly known for the iconic Hermes Birkin bag, to me Jane's style is jeans, a t-shirt and flats- elegant, simple and beautiful. For the show she wore simple black trousers and an over-sized white cotton shirt. Easy, style and grace. If you scroll through my blog or Tumblr you will see it is no secret that I absolutely love Charlotte Gainsbourg (Jane's daughter) and it is easy to see why with parents like that! Fireworks finished off the show, much to the surprise and delight of the performers, with Jane declaring that the smell of fireworks were one of the best things in the world.

I loved Windmill Theatre's production of School Dance, I laughed so much. The pumping 80s pop soundtrack and awkward dance moves were so much fun. It was great to look around and watch people wipe away tears of laughter through out the incredible show. I sat next to a bunch of younger teenage boys, who'd gone along with a school group. Before the show started they were making comments about how lame theatre was, but were soon blown away, when they show began. A few scenes in they were cheering, and did not stop! In the foyer one wall had been painted in chalk paint, inviting people to share their thoughts after the show. Kids tore past me to run over and write/ draw with incredible enthusiasm. I took a few snaps of some of the cute remarks. If or when the show tours, please go and see it, it is such a delight. You will never look at a nerdy kid quite the same again, and if you have ever felt even a little bit invisible, you will stop!

The Festival season ended with a beautiful bang. No surprises there. Until next time... x

Emma Craig took these photos for me in Prague last year, after we wandered around looking for an architecture exhibition. By the time we found it, tucked away behind a little cobbled lane it had closed for the day, but we had discovered a cute little fountain. I love Prague!

Went to Woodstock at McLaren Vale for a platter and tastings today. I love love love their range of wines, and can not get enough of the Grenache Rose or their Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon. Yummo! Then headed to Penny's Hill, much to my delight, as I love their chicken coop. So so pretty. The sounds that Chickens make alone makes me so happy! Am so loving our summer at the moment, it has been brilliant.
This week I saw The Women on the 6th Floor, which is so so sweet! There are so many great films out at the moment, I would add this to my 'must see' list. It was out while I was in Paris, but of course I had to wait till I could catch one with subtitles. So glad I got there in the end! On Thursday I checked out the beautiful work of Alexia Sinclair at the Adelaide Festival Centre as a part of her ongoing The Royal Dozen exhibition. Please do yourself the treat of going up to take a look at this exhibition if you are in Adelaide, it is gorgeous work, and it's free. I heard someone say the other day that Adelaide can be a boring place to wander around, but I feel like there are all sorts of things to do and see if you care to look. For the details of the exhibition check out the Adelaide Festival Center page here. I also went to the Sessions that night to see Asa and Fefe, who were both incredible. I love Asa so much she was just glorious! Her CD will be on rotation non-stop!
Lastly this week I am loving the Tristan Blair Ramona boots I scored from LAX. Oh so so cool. Handmade shoes, on sale... I think they will be worn to death! I will definitely need to get a better pic of them to show you, they are such a great way to work a dress/ skirt or shorts. I have lots of exciting new things are coming up this week and next, I am so excited to start my work at The State Theatre of South Australia and the Adelaide Fringe. Watch this space. xx

Champagne Shopping day

Mum hosted a little in home Champagne Shopping date today, and I helped her out, which more or less came down to hanging out with a cute 9 year old as we drew dresses and came up with designs. She introduced me to the world of Barbie Fashion Games online, which involves a lot of styling looks and hair do's on Barbie dolls virtually. So cute! It was very fun to listen to her squeals of delight as she went through my wardrobe! My look for today was very home and casual, but I am loving Biker boots at the moment, so great for stomping. Excuse the lame-not-a-lot-of-effort photos! I am super excited to be awaiting a Sass and Bide Raffia jacket, be kind Aust. post! Will post that look soon. xx
