Versailles and French Vintage
A beautiful day spent in Versailles. I couldn't wait any longer to show this. We had such a magical day there, I loved every minute of it. What a wondrous place. Go! Now! We had a picnic over looking Marie Antoinette's little village, among the flowers and glorious trees.
Pictured I am wearing a skirt from the BEST vintage store in Paris, By Flowers Vintage.
I love this skirt, and it will be one of my most cherished pieces forever. Gen is also wearing a linen dress (see pic of her in front of the giant doors) from the same store. Probably one of the fondest memories of my recent travels was skipping up to the door of By Flowers in Montmartre with Gen and Emma, each of us thinking, "At last we have found a decent Vintage store in Paris." We all enjoyed trawling through the racks and stacks of goods which seemed to cover each corner of the tiny gem of a store. Not one of us went away empty handed, with each discovering something unique at the help of the lovely Jonathan. (The sexiest man ever? Worth mentioning! I so melted for him!) I was most glad to have met such a lovely, genuine Parisian, rumours of the French being nasty are all a sort of prank they play for unsuspecting victims, all in good fun. No stop in Paris is complete without staying in Montmartre (or Belleville, in my opinion), and waste no time in heading in to find yourself a treat from the lovely By Flowers. I shall post some Paris pics up soon. xx
For those heading to Paris By Flowers is located at
86 rue des martyrs, 75018 Paris, France
